1.How is the OpenBusiness App secured?
It is protected, private, and backed up. Only you who can access your business account using your credentials - username and password. Keep your credentials private and secret as a business owner.
2.If a phone or Tablet gets lost or damaged, how will I recover the data?
The app does not sit on the phone, it's like emails that you can read from different sources using your email address. Once the phone is replaced, you download the App and log in using your credentials and you recover all your data. Your data is always backed up in realtime when using the app.
3.What do I do when there is a network problem, especially in interior places?
OpenBusiness requires the Internet to save and backup your business data in realtime. If your current Internet provider has a poor signal in your location, we suggest you try an alternative provider for a better Internet connection and enjoy using the app for your business. Almost all providers have affordable Internet packages or bundles. You will not need more than 100MB per month to run your business.
4.Will I be able to operate the App without the internet?
No, you need internet to use the App just like Facebook or Whatsapp
5.Can I sell online? I have no shop I depend on online shops.
We are working on it and it will be coming soon. Each OpenBusiness account will have a well designed online shop.
6.Can the App be a standalone application?
Since the app runs on your phone or tablet, we have made it affordable with easy periodic payments instead of a huge upfront cost and we can forever provide you with software updates at no additional cost. We also provide a free trial giving you a chance to learn and get familiar with the App before starting to pay for it.
7.Will I be getting a notification when the subscription is about to be renewed?
Yes, you will at least 48 hours before.
8.Can I download the App on the computer?
No, the App can only be downloaded on Android phones or Tablets.
9.Why should I use the App and not my books?
The App is easy to use because you are able to view or do anything concerning your business such as inventory and cash box real-time anywhere and anytime on your phone or tablet, unlike the books.
10.What is the Unit of measure (on product module)?
It is a standard way of measuring a product e.g in weight, volume, length, count, etc
11.What is U/M Value (on product module)?
It is the exact size, degree, strength of something, usually expressed in numbers.e.g packets,crates,pieces,boxes etc
12. What is Category (on product module)?
It is a class or division of things regarded as having particular shared characteristics.E.g Agriculture& Groceries, Agrovet, Bags &Fashions, Bar & Restaurant, etc
13.What is Tag (on product module)?
It is a name that generalizes the product of a particular characteristic. e.g Maize Flour (Cosmos, Pembe, Soko, etc)
14.What is Barcode (on product module)?
They are symbols that can be scanned electronically using a laser or a camera-based system. They are used to encode product information.
15.What is SKU (on product module)?
It is Stock Keeping Units, is a product and service identification code for a store or product(used to track inventory in your store)
16.What is Reorder Level(on product module)?
It is the inventory level at which a Business Owner places a new order of a particular product.
